The last few months has seen havoc take hold among sports TV rights. The Six Nations has migrated to TV3; the bulk of the Champions League will be on the same channel, with all Wednesday games behind a paywall; the Premier League is splintering across Sky, BT Sport and Amazon; Sky is losing the Champions Cup to BT with a few games free to air on TV3; the Pro14 is off to eir Sport; La Liga and Serie A have left Sky and BT respectively.

The latter competitions have been signed by a new broadcaster called Eleven Sports owned by Andrea Radrizzani, who you may recognise from his involvement at Leeds United. The company has been serving  Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Taiwan, United States to now, and is launching in the UK and Ireland next month.

Per reports, the broadcaster are on the verge of snaffling another major set of sports rights. MMANytt report that Eleven Sports are taking over the UK and Irish UFC rights from BT Sport at the end of this year. The same report states that the biggest events may be sub-licensed to Sky or BT which they might be able to sell via PPV.

Eleven Sports will be available to stream here from August.
