8 Things Everyone Needs To Stop Doing This Premier League Season

The Premier League season is nearly upon us again, which means it's time to call out some annoying and irritating things that have been creeping into the game in recent years.

Here are the 8 thing that everyone needs to stop doing this Premier League season:

1. Quitting Fantasy Football In October

The vast majority of the fantasy footballer players realise in October that they haven't logged into their account for weeks, and there's probably no point in playing on for the remaining 30 weeks. It's annoying for everyone else and needs to stop.

Either knuckle down and play through, or don't submit a team.

Here's everything you need to get through the fantasy football season.

2. Endless Formguides Blocking Up Twitter

Thank you for clogging up twitter with "W's" that are quite unnecessary, and a lot harder to read than just saying "Real Madrid have won the last 18 games". You aren't literally trying to cover a football pitch in actual "W's".

3. Complain About The Lack Of Support Of Your Local Team

It's true that the League Of Ireland is woefully under supported. Our local league should be garnering more attention from fans and media. That said, cynical comments on articles about the Premier League isn't going to round up the troops.

4. Getting Into Heated Debate About Loyalty Online

On the flip side of that, Bray-based Liverpool fans getting into heated twitter debates about the loyalty of various players need to calm down. It's professional sport, players have no attachment to the clubs they play for, much like Irish fans have little attachment other than following the best team at the time. Or if

5. Endless 'Lasts' and 'Countdowns'

The procession over Steven Gerrard's last season at Anfield was nothing short of bizarre. Naturally the coverage at his last game in a Liverpool shirt, and his last game at Anfield were covered in excruciating detail. But covering his "last game at Old Trafford", or his last training session, or his last walk through the Liverpool city centre makes a mockery of things.

6. What Age Jack Grealish Was When Ryan Giggs Scored His First Goal

Newsflash: Young players were young when old players were young.

7. Believing Cristiano Ronaldo Will Ever Return To Man United

Manchester United fans yearning for the return of their Portuguese prodigal son are taken on a hope-fuelled rollercoaster almost every year since he left only for absolutely nothing to happen. Probably best to stop believing the nonsense, maybe then it'll go away.

8. Believing Everything That Indy Kaila And Others Say About Transfers On Twitter

What used to be obsession with transfer activity by parking yourself in front of Sky Sports News for hours on end on a summer's day, has turned into a nightmare. Social media is taking advantage of transfer gossip. What used to be interesting tidbits, have been replaced by endless bullshit rumours from anyone and anyone, as well as the fake parody accounts that somehow have thousands of followers.

The vast majority of the "breaking news" is highly misleading and plainly untrue, so much so that it's gotten to the point where suspicion and cynicism has turned the wonderful world of the transfer window.
