Pep Guardiola is expected to announce following Bayern Munich's game against Hannover on Saturday that he will depart the club during the summer.

The Spaniard's contract is up in June and it will likely bring an end to his three-year reign.

Barney Ronay noted on Friday that the German side are apparently looking for a less intense presence as a replacement.

According to Ronay's employer - The Guardian - the club appear to have acquired, in principle, the services of an individual who certainly meets that criteria - Carlo Ancelotti.

The laid back Italian and Bayern have reportedly agreed the details of a three-year contract, though no pen has been put to paper yet.

Ancelotti's two-year term as Real Madrid manager ended back in May when he was relieved of duties.

He has since been on sabattical, while also being linked with everyone from Manchester United to West Ham.
