David Beckham will be captaining a combined Great Britain and Ireland eleven in a charity match at Old Trafford next month.
Beckham's side will be managed by Alex Ferguson whilst another one of his former managers, Carlo Ancelotti, will be in charge of the opposition, a Rest of World XI.
The game is set to be a star studded affair with Zinedine Zidane captaining Ancelotti's side. The two legends will no doubt be exhausting their list of contacts in order to assemble as strong a team as possible for the fixture next November.
One man who Beckham tried, and failed, to convince into an Old Trafford return was Roy Keane. Beckham himself was able to put his prickly past with Ferguson to one side and he had hoped the Keane would be able to do the same.
However, fortunately for Keane, he has the excuse of potentially being involved in a Euro 2016 playoff campaign, which is set to take place on the same weekend.
We have asked Roy, but unfortunately he is tied up. He is on international duty and that is part of the problem with some of the other players we wanted to play.

Keane's Euro 2016 commitments are always going to have priority. However, it's certainly a handy excuse for Roy to get out of a potentially sticky situation given the fact that it's a charity match after all.
