After listening to so much uninformed commentary, we have decided to break out our world renowned tactics board and examine the Jack Grealish controversy in detail once and for all.

We've heard all manner of pontificating from people who know little of Jack Grealish and crucially the exact nature of his correspondence with Martin O'Neill. We have decided to right this wrong and tease out the matter properly.

There are a number of people we'd like to thank for making this video possible. First off, we'd like to thank our cameraman for his bold use of white balance which gave the whole thing a very pre-2008 look.

At this point we should like to thank him publicly for his efforts. But at a certain point during the production process (shortly after witnessing the final product, we believe) he requested that he remain anonymous. The reasons behind this late request remain unclear to us but we have decided to respect his decision nonetheless.

We would also like to thank our sponsors Pepsi. This is first video produced by an Irish sports website which they have thrown their money behind. We trust they will be happy with the final product and we thank them for the complimentary jumper which adorns Mikey Traynor's upper body.

This event was filmed in front of a live studio audience, albeit one who chose to remain silent for the duration of the broadcast.

Despite the fact that they remained quieter than we anticipated they would upon hiring them, we would like to state on the record, and despite assertions to the contrary, that we do not believe that this was money wasted. We would like to thank them for their time, particularly the man who used this production as an excuse to avoid jury duty.

UPDATE: Mikey would like to unequivocally withdraw the remarks he made about Brian Kerr's public relations advisers at the beginning of the video. These were not intended for broadcast.
