Gary McAllister and Sean O'Driscoll have lasted just three months at Liverpool after they were informed there was no place for them at the club under Jurgen Klopp. Former Ireland international O'Driscoll was brought in as Brendan Rodgers' assistant this summer after Colin Pascoe was removed from his position in the Anfield dugout.

That decision was met with quite a bit of scepticism by fans at the time but nonetheless O'Driscoll was in and he was joined by Gary McAllister who took up the role of first team coach.

A backroom shakeup was supposed to inject a bit of new life into Liverpool's fortunes but as we know now that's not exactly what happened and O'Driscoll and McAllister are set to follow Rodgers out the Anfield exit door after Jurgen Klopp made it clear he wants his own backroom team installed.

Zeljko Buvac and Peter Krawietz, Klopp's trusted lieutenants from Dortmund will accompany the 48 year old to Anfield. That deal is all set to be completed today with an official announcement and unveiling expected sometime on Friday.
