Former Manchester United stars Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs have reportedly permitted a group of homeless people to stay in an unoccupied building they intend to convert into a hotel.
Homeless rights activists occupied the Manchester stock exchange building on Sunday, claiming the right to remain there under squatter's rights. And the former United legends, who are currently renovating the premises to transform it into a boutique hotel, apparently have no issue allowing the squatters to stay for the winter period.

Gary Neville, who has been offering support to homeless people for over a decade, told the Guardian that he's 'quite relaxed' about the arrangement.
One representative of the homeless group the Manchester Angels, has said that the former United stars told them they can stay in the building provided that surveyors and other work people can gain access to the building whenever they need to.
Thank you so much – you don’t understand what you have done for us. We are going to do everything properly. We have already drawn up rotas for cooking, cleaning and staffing the gate.
According to reports, the luxury hotel will include 35 beds, a gym and spa, a roof-top private members area along with a restaurant and bar on the ground floor.
