It Looks Like Jonathan Walters Is On His Way Out Of Stoke

A couple of weeks ago, Jonathan Walters was less than happy with reports that his contract talks with Stoke were at breaking point. In the aftermath of Ireland's 1-1 draw with Scotland, Walters told reporters that he believed he was, relative to some of his teammates' contracts, worth more than he was being offered.

Despite that, the 31 year old was adamant that he wouldn't be leaving the Britannia. However, the latest reports would indicate that such a departure is now looking very likely. According to the Telegraph, negotiations over a new deal have ground to a halt amid interest from elsewhere.

Tony Pulis is looking to make Walters his second Irish signing of the summer after already taking James McClean to the Hawthorns from Wigan. Meanwhile, if Walters fancies dropping down a division, Hull are also said to be keen to replenish their stock of Irish internationals after the departure of Stephen Quinn and Paul McShane.

Having scored a more than respectable eight Premier League goals last season, you'd have to think that Walters' ambition would be to remain in the Premier League and, in that sense, linking up with his former boss Pulis at West Brom could be a very good move for him,
