It Turns Out That Giovanni Trapattoni Is A Highly Controversial TV Pundit In Italy

In what is admittedly a fiercely competitive field, probably the most infuriating thing about Giovanni Trapattoni's Ireland were his press conferences, where his terrible grasp of English would baffle any onlookers. In his native Italian, however, it turns out that Trap is both loquacious and utterly compelling. He is working as a pundit with Italian television station RAI, and this month's edition of the excellent When Saturday Comes has shone a light on his remarkable use of his native tongue:

Thankfully, Manuela was not needed to translate live on air. This Gazetta article addresed the controversy, which loosely translates to say that Trap does not regret the outburst, saying that he reacted as he would on the bench. He also says that he has a contract with RAI, but doesn't care if it is terminated as he has offers from German TV.
