Normally when you see Joey Barton in the trending topics on twitter, it is because the outspoken Scouser has given a typically blunt opinion on someone or something, or has launched a full scale rant about a former employer, but no, today there actually is some Joey Barton related news to report.
Despite links to West Ham and Newcastle, Joey Barton will not be playing Premier League football next season as he has agreed terms with Championship side Burnley.

While this is a smart move for Barton as he will likely get regular playing time at a stable club with a plan to get back into the Premier League, he hasn't made it easy for himself with his previous behaviour on twitter.
His "fans" were very quick to point a reply he gave to someone who criticised him and his then QPR teammates back at the end of the 13/14 season:
