It's a massive match in the MLS this evening where Eastern Conference leaders New York City FC are taking on second place in the Western Conference Colorado Rapids - but, showing that adverse weather conditions are as likely to happen in the Big Apple as they are in Ballyfermot, the match has been temporarily halted due to a lightning storm.

While both teams are waiting for the officials to allow them back on the pitch, the two clubs have been engaging in a bit of fun on Twitter and have decided to try and pass the time with a friendly game of tic-tac-toe.

The match has just resumed and Colorado Rapids have JUST had Michael Azira sent off for a second bookable offence ten minutes before the end of the first half, so any friendliness they had during the impromptu game of noughts and crosses has very much ended.
