We're less than a week away from Ireland's last two Euro 2016 qualifiers and it appears we may have to face down Germany and Poland without our star player.

Seamus Coleman hasn't played since 12 September and fears are now intensifying that he will not recover from a hamstring injury in time for next Thursday. Speaking about whether Coleman would be fit to play against Liverpool on Sunday, Roberto Martinez yet again failed to make a commitment on Coleman's sate, saying:

It’s too early to tell. They [Coleman and Stones] are progressing well and in the next two sessions we will get a clear idea. I wouldn’t be able to tell you one way or another.

We will make a decision as late as we can. We’re probably going to leave it until the day of the game.

Martinez has been saying pretty much the same thing for a number of weeks and still the Donegalman seems no nearer fitness. If Coleman's fitness is still up in the air at this stage then one would have to fear the worst. And if that wasn't bad enough, a fit again Marco Reus has been named in the Germany squad.
