FIFA's resident traitor, Chuck Blazer, the man whose cats live in the height of style, has come back to haunt the organisation once more today.
Blazer lived the life for many years but he was unable to escape the law man in the end. Not even with the aid of his mobility scooter, on which he apprehended on the way to a top Manhattan restaurant by the FBI in 2011.
Blazer's guilty plea has just been published.
It confirms that he and several other football officials took bribes to vote for South Africa as the host of the 2010 World Cups.
He personally admitted to taking bribes as far back as 1992. He excelled at the art of taking bribes for almost two decades, instancing numerous tournaments including France 98 and a host of CONCACAF Gold Cups.
This will come as no surprise to those who read about the South African World Cup committee's extraordinary generosity towards a curious entity called the 'Diaspora Legacy Programme', a fund which just so happened to be personally administered by the eminently respectable, Mr. Jack Warner (of which, more about here).
