Football fans aren't often praised for bringing a banner to an away stadium that is guaranteed to go down very well, but the travelling fans of PSV Eindhoven will be doing just that as they arrive to watch their side take on Manchester United at Old Trafford later tonight.

In the reverse fixture back in September, Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw unfortunately had his leg broken in a challenge with PSV defender Hector Moreno. In the aftermath of the incident, PSV Eindhoven fans were praised for sending flowers to Luke Shaw in hospital, and again tonight they are offing a lovely gesture to the injured full-back with a banner wishing him a speedy recovery.

News of the banner spread around social media last night, and Luke Shaw today took to his personal Instagram account to thank the PSV fans for their kindness:

Thank you to the PSV fans for your nice gesture ???? looking forward to the game tonight #MUFC ?

Fair play to them.

You don't see that too often in football, but a gesture like that can go a long way between fans of opposing clubs.

Hector Moreno and Phillip Cocu also visited Shaw in hospital after the injury, so the club are really making an effort to sympathise and offer support to a player injured against them. It's just good to see.
