It's one of those stories that is dragging on and on and on, and has seemed to show no sign of stopping anytime soon. However, it finally seems like the Raheem Sterling "will he, won't he" leave Liverpool story that has appeared since Liverpool first offered him that contract extension how many months ago could be about to end.

Multiple reports this morning indicate that thanks to UEFA's easing of the Financial Fair Play punishment on Man City, that they have the room to make a third improved offer for the winger/striker. City have offered £45m, and will be determined to get their man after Aston Villa's Fabian Delph rejected the chance to move to Eastlands.

The offer is still short of Liverpool's valuation of £50m, but it sounds like they are taking the third offer from City very seriously, by taking Sterling out of their squad for the pre-season tour to the Far East. City have had offers of £35m and £40m rejected already.

With Liverpool leaving for their tour later today, it seems that with Sterling now not in the party that all signs point to a move for the youngster.
