This would be a brilliant signing for The Bhoys if they could pull it off.

Having already bolstered the squad with the singings of Dedryk Boyata from Man City, Nadir Ciftci from Dundee United, Saidy Janko from Manchester United, Celtic manager Ronny Deila is looking to make a move for a signing that would surely excite the Park Head faithful according to reporting Germany.

Well known football publication Bild.de are reporting that Celtic are set to make a move for Borussia Dortmund fan favourite Kevin Großkreutz. The German international is a World Cup winner despite not playing a minute in Brazil last summer, and he is reportedly considering his options as contract talks with Dortmund have stalled.

Großkreutz has been converted into a right-back in recent seasons but played the majority of his career as a wide midfielder. The reports claim that both Celtic and Liverpool are the Dortmund fan favourite's ideal locations, and after making a recovery from an injury which ended last season for him prematurely, he explained that his future should be sorted soon:

I'm simply overjoyed. During my time out, I even doubted myself if I would make it back.

The next few weeks will show whether I will continue to play at Borussia Dortmund or not.

Clearly he is a fan of the famous Celtic Park atmosphere, but it remains to be seen whether Celtic can manage to convince him to swap the Bundesliga for the SPFL.
