Granted, we haven't yet been privy to the full book just yet but Roy Keane's rationale for not signing Robbie Savage must be one of his most, possibly unintentional, entertaining anecdotes.
Being the proud gentleman that he is, Savage quickly took to Twitter to get across his side of the story. He's definitely not denying the 'Whazzup' part but Keane's overall assertion that that was the reason for Savage not signing is something which the Welshman is disagreeing with.
Whether or not Roy did try and sign me I chose derby over Sunderland as they offered me more and I didn't want to move house !!

But it's great to know Roy keane obviously liked me as a player as he was one of best midfielders ever !! #whatssuppppppp — Robbie Savage (@RobbieSavage8) October 7, 2014
I knew of the interest from Sunderland as my agent spoke to them numerous times but informed them I was going to derby !

But I love Roy's story of my answering machine !!!! Hi it's robbie .... Whatsupppp ... I'm not signing that !! — Robbie Savage (@RobbieSavage8) October 7, 2014

It's fair to say that Savage worded those tweets very carefully so as not to get on Keane's bad side, but who should we believe?
