The long list of former Sir Alex Ferguson pupils during his time as Manchester United who then went on to become managers themselves is set to grow, by one.
1999 Champions League (and FA Cup) final hero Terry Sheringham is currently in discussions with League Two side Stevenage, which has been confirmed by an official statement from the club.
Stevenage FC have confirmed they are in talks with former Man United, Spurs, West Ham and England international Teddy Sheringham with a view to him taking over as manager next season.
This would be 40 year old Sheringham's first foray into management, although he has been working as a coach with his former club West Ham United.
There is no word currently as to who Sheringham would appoint as backroom staff at Stevenage, but if this photo from the Nike Freestyle Football competition in the Point Theatre in Dublin from 2001 is anything to go by, we really hope it's Clinton Morrison.
There is absolutely no indication that Sheringham even remembers Clinton Morrison, let alone will choose him to join his backroom staff.
