'The Season Is Fucked' - Cesc Fagregas Is Starting To Sound A Lot Like Mourinho

Chelsea's season to this point has been disappointing to say the least. Sitting three points from relegation and with seven losses in twelve Premier League games, little has gone the way of the defending champions. You could say, as has Cesc Fabregas, that their season is 'fucked'.

Speaking to the Spanish newspaper Marca, the 28 year old midfielder, who has received his fair share of criticism this season, spoke of how the team's performances are affecting him personally saying that he lies awake at night, thinking of how it has gone so wrong.

When things don't go right I can't sleep at night. Sometimes when I am at home, in bed, I wonder. You have your own thoughts and the manager will have his thoughts about what is going on and it is all about talking about things and putting this right all together.

Football is my life. It is everything to me. My family keep me happy sometimes but when football does not go well, my life is not happy.
He goes on to say that the season is lost at this point and that the reason for that is that Chelsea simply haven't had luck on their side. All we can say to that is that Cesc should be very careful, it's a slippy slope until you start blaming referees and doctors.

The season is fucked. Things aren't working out and the results aren't doing our performances justice. We're playing better but aren't having any luck. When things are going your way, you flick the ball with your heel and it flies into the top corner, whereas now every pile driver is going off target.

Speaking of blaming referees and doctors, the future of Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been in question all season as a result of their woeful form. Fabregas, however, was adamant Jose has not lost the dressing room and that they can turn it around.

Things with Mou are good. Obviously when you're not winning things always get said, whereas when you're winning everything's rosy. When you're not winning everything is that much harder, but all of us - the players, fans and the coach - have to pull together and hang tough.

Whether that is the case remains to be seen but it seems that Jose has survived his stay of execution for the time being at least. It will certainly be interesting to see what kind of effect the international break has on Chelsea when they return to Premier League action against Norwich on Saturday.
