The Wire's Bubbles In Soccer City?

Down in Joburg, this weekend's match at Soccer City between Kaizer Chiefs and Moroka Swallows has been canceled because the cables that supply the stadiums electricity have all been robbed.

From FourFourTwo:

There was theft of cables in the vicinity of the stadium which caused a power surge which has blown the floodlights and cut off all the other power at the stadium," league spokesman Altaaf Kazi told Reuters on Thursday.

"There is no power for the offices, changing rooms... nothing," he added.

Sounds slightly like a caper out of the first season of The Wire.
