Watch: At Least We Got A Chance To See Seamus Coleman's GAA Ability

It's scant consolation but at least Donegal GAA know that there's still a bit of ability left in Seamus Coleman whenever he packs in this football stuff and decides to head back to Killybegs. The stand-in Ireland captain (with the stand-in soon to be removed) has never hidden the fact that he only has one thing in mind when it comes to his post-Premier League career.

When asked about a possible return to the League of Ireland back in March, Coleman was fairly up front with the fact that it would only get in the way of his GAA career with Killybegs.

I’m definitely going home, I’m a homebird. I’ll go back to Killybegs when I finish but I think it’ll be a case of playing for Killybegs GAA and St Catherine’s, the local [soccer] club.

So, while the French may have been puzzled about why he couldn't just pick the ball off the ground, we all knew what was really going on.

Clearly just making sure the pick-up skills hadn't diminished. Padraig Amond knew what was up.

And judging by this Facebook post during the week, we can only assume Killybegs are counting down the days until they can welcome him back into the senior fold.

As far as we can tell, that's him second from left in the front row.
