You really do have to feel like Zlatan Ibrahimovic is coming to the Premier League, and anyone who saw his interview on Thursday while away with Sweden will know that he is almost certainly going to join Manchester United.
The arrival of Mourinho and Ibrahimovic together at Old Trafford is extremely exciting for fans of the Premier League, as there is no way it's going to be dull with those two involved, but it is also a very exciting time for fans of United. We've detailed before why Ibrahimovic is a perfect match for the Red Devils right now, but Paul Scholes has also given his view, and he's fully behind the move.
Speaking at a charity golf event on Wednesday, Scholes expressed his belief that age means nothing for someone like Ibrahimovic, and that the charisma that he brings will be a big plus for the club.
It does excite me, yeah.
Look, we're not stupid enough to think that it'll be more than one or two years at the most, but he's a fit lad who looks after himself, he has great charisma, great character, and I think he could pull it off without a shadow of a doubt.
Peter Schmeichel was also speaking at the event, and while Scholes attacked one of the strange fears that some United fans seem to have about his age, the legendary goalkeeper then attacked the other, that it's easy to score goals in France.
For some reason the quality of Zlatan's opposition in Ligue 1 is used to dismiss the 50 goals he scored in all competitions this season, but Schmeichel pointed to the fact that he dragged Sweden to Euro 2016 to show that he can do it with lesser teammates and against stronger opposition.
And he's dead right. Ibrahimovic scored 11 goals in Euro 2016 qualification, and bagged all three goals in the playoffs as Sweden made it past Denmark to book their spot in Paris. The man is a goal machine.
