It was quite a shock yesterday, but one man expected it. Former Dublin footballer Jack Sheedy guided Longford to a stunning victory over Offaly in the Leinster Senior Football first round yesterday, coming from seven points behind to in 0-16 to 0-13.

But now that Sheedy's sights are set on the Leinster champions Dublin in the next round , he's got a message for them:

I'm on record as having said that Dublin games should be brought out of Croke Park until the Leinster semi-final or final. And certain Dublin players have endorsed that and Jim Gavin has endorsed that. That's where it should be, that's not going to be, but we'll just get on with it.

It's not the first time that Sheedy has called for Dublin games to be brought out of Croke Park. That being said however, he is looking forward to bringing his Longford team to Croke Park, and acknowledges that it will be a tough task:

And we're looking forward to going to Croke Park. Those lads in there are going to be encouraged and enthusiastic about going to Croke Park because that's where the best teams play.

Longford will take on Dublin in the quarter finals in Croke Park in two weeks time.
