Antrim GAA officials are to meet next week to discuss a report which said that a number of their players bet against their own team.

The Antrim hurlers suffered a humiliating 1-21 to 1-19 defeat against London on the Sunday before last. Promotion was already out of reach before the game in Ruislip.

A report in the Antrim Post newspaper said that 'Antrim GAA top brass' were investigating claims that some Antrim players bet on their team to lose the match.

Paddy Power told The Irish Post they have seen “nothing untoward” surrounding their bets received on the game.

Had we seen anything suspicious we’d have reported it to ESSA (European Sports Security Association) but there has been no reason to do so.
