Their plan to chant for Diarmuid Connolly - who has somehow been wronged because his suspension for hitting Lee Keegan has been upheld - was obviously inspired by the moment when both fans took part in a 13th minute applause for Darragh Doherty.

Hence the idea was not only stupid but highly disrespectful.

Before being deleted, people responded angrily to the post, with one person commenting 'the whole thing is gone out of hand, just let the teams play and let the best team win.' While another person described it as a 'sick and disrespectful plan.'

Connolly will find out tonight if his third appeal will finally free him to play tomorrow after the Central Appeals Committee turned him down last night.
