The Cork County Board gave us an early contender for GAA meeting of the year last month. Unfortunately for the Rebels they've now been beaten out in the race thanks to the Clare County Board's vendetta against social media last night.

Thankfully, the Clare People’s Joe Ó Muircheartaigh, braved the hate and went against a proposed executive order to bring us all the fun via the wonderfully democratic medium of twitter.

You read that correctly, an executive order, against Twitter.

Eventually things moved on from criticism of social media to include more traditional media present that had been critical of the decisions made by the County Board.

'Too much democracy in GAA'. Of course, because if they weren't accountable to anyone, various County Boards up and down the country would get things done so much more effectively.
