Jack Guiney will not line out for the Wexford hurlers against Kilkenny after  manager Liam Dunne dropped him from the panel for Sunday's game following a breach of discipline at a family christening after their Leinster quarter final victory agaisnt Westmeath.

Guiney has swiftly set about showing Dunne what Wexford will miss against the All-Ireland champions this weekend by scoring 4-5 in a club match for Rathnure last night. Guiney scored all but seven points of Rathnure's total in a 4-12 to 1-12 win against Ferns St Aidans. Of the 4-5 Guiney scored, 4-4 was from play.

Kilkenny will be pleased.
