It was surely the defining point in the game. Whatever about the various black card controversies, Maurice Deegan's decision to book Padraig McNulty for diving five minutes from the end, was the moment things got away from Tyrone.

At that point, Kerry were just a point to the good and another penalty for Tyrone could have been the moment Mickey Harte's team were fighting for. The ball went in, McNulty caught, turned and went down under Aidan O'Mahony's challenge.

In real time, it looked like a penalty. It's fair to say the vast majority of spectators would have expected a penalty. Instead, Deegan made a diving motion and McNulty was shown a yellow card.

After the game the Sunday Game Live panel suggested that the Laois referee had got the call wrong. However, with the added benefit of a few more hours viewing and a bit more technology to play with, the Sunday Panel later in the evening had a different viewpoint.

There were a few more angles of the incident looked into and even Tyrone's Brian McGuigan accepted that McNulty appeared to have a a hold of O'Mahony with the intention of going down.

We won't claim it's definitive evidence but it does appear to vindicate Deegan's decision. Take a look and view for yourself.
