A spokesperson for Tickets.ie spoke to Balls this afternoon to quell any concerns about a flood of duplicate tickets becoming available ahead the All-Ireland semifinal replay between Dublin and Mayo on Saturday.

Social media was abuzz today with talk of ticketing chaos once tickets for Saturday's match began to arrive in people's postboxes. This was 24 hours after DoneDeal moved to bar touts from the site.

One Mayo man claims to have received 12 Hill tickets after ordering four online.

Tickets.ie have moved to clarify the situation this evening.

A spokesperson for the company described the printing and mailing of duplicate tickets as standard ticketing practice when a high volume of tickets are printed out at one time. She said a small amount of duplicates had been posted out, and though it was impossible to put an exact amount on it, she said it was certainly not in the thousands.

The spokesperson condemned the practice of ticket-gouging and fake ticket buying and Tickets.ie hoped the news would help people realise that buying tickets from touts is never to be advised.
