Colm Parkinson boldly announced that the Off the Ball crew were accepting Davy Fitzgerald's crossbar challenge call (this was a call Davy made when the camera stopped rolling evidently) in aid of GOAL.

The rules stipulated that every time a crossbar was hit, €50 would go to GOAL. Before matters kicked off, the charity were no doubt resigned to the fact that this would not be their biggest payday.

After watching the senior inter-county automatons of Clare and Waterford strut their stuff, there was a pleasing variety of styles on show here.

When it looked like the charity would go away empty handed, one hero stood up...
