We had the pleasure of spending 46 minutes in the company of David Brady yesterday when we recorded this week's Hard Shoulder.

The sadist in all of us enjoys listening to Mayo sob stories, but it was great hearing David recount the 2005 Club All-Ireland campaign that
saw Brady and his two brothers win glory for Ballina Stephenites.

But one mystery remains. While telling the story of Ballina's semifinal win against west Clare's Kilmurray Ibrickane, Brady spoke of a punch-throwing midfielder who went by the name of Horse. Here's DB:

"We went down to Clare to play a team (Kilmurray Ibrickane) and all I could hear was 'kill 'em Horse, kill 'em Horse'. Some guy named Horse was marking me. I don't think they him as anything else.

"Marty Morrissey came up to me a year or two later and he said 'we should have never put Horse on you.'

So one question: who the hell is Horse?

UPDATE: The Horse in question has been identified as Aidan 'Horse' Maloney, a stalwart of the Clare team that won the '91 B All-Ireland and the '92 Munster final. Thanks to Kevin McGillicuddy and Keano.
