Your Surefire, Can't Miss GAA Accumulator Of The Weekend

Your Surefire, Can't Miss GAA Accumulator Of The Weekend

Another weekend is here and with it, the chance to win, but most likely lose, your hard-earned dosh to the bookies.

We've been offering GAA accumulators throughout this young season, with mixed results (thanks again, Kerry hurlers). It's an absolutely shocking weekend for GAA so we've had to get creative and add a rugby fixture into this accumulator. Here's who we're backing.

Recommended

The bets:

    • Mayo -15 vs London
    • Cavan -2 vs Armagh
    • Clare - 3 vs Limerick (bet of the weekend)
    • Tipp -5 vs Waterford
    • Connacht +6 vs Leinster (not technically GAA)

The reasoning:

  • London were arguably the worst team in Ireland [the UK? - Ed.] during the league. Stephen Rochford will want to chart a radically different path to that of James Horan, who was lucky to leave Ruislip with a win in 2011 for his first Championship game as Mayo manager. Lately, Mayo show no mercy to weaklings and we expect a rout here.
  • The trickiest game of the weekend. If we go on form alone, Cavan should win this one easily. They put Armagh to the sword in the League, winning 3-18 to 0-10, which must be one of the biggest hidings Kieran McGeeney has ever shipped in his career. We don't think Armagh are as bad as GAA columnists would have you believe though. On top of that, there is real expectancy on Cavan to deliver Sunday. Barring another parade melee, we think they will.
  • Clare are riding a high after winning the Division 3 final. Limerick were abject in the league and the presenters of the Racket Thursday were utterly stumped when it came to naming their manager. Clare won by 6 over Limerick in the league. We think it will be more Sunday.
  • Tipp haven't been great but Waterford are Waterford.
  • Ok, Connacht vs Leinster isn't technically a GAA match but we can't believe Connacht are shipping six points here given their run of form and the feeling of destiny that they've embraced since losing to Grenoble. Leinster are the old dog for the hard road but this will go down to the wire.

3 quid gets you 83 back with Ladbrokes. Why not?
