We hope that the title of this competition is not a Tony Soprano - type euphemism.

Regardless, it won't stop us watching as Shane Lowry is tearing up the first round of the tournament in Phoenix, Arizona.

Lowry was among the first golfers to tee off and has wasted no time in setting the pace, shooting -7 his first 13 holes.

Lowry now finished his round as the tournament leader, tied with Rickie Fowler at -6.

The highlight of the round thus far was this 29-foot birdie putt, which the Sky analyst responded to by comparing Lowry to Maximus Decimus Meridius from Gladiator. It was the most obvious comparison we thought of too.
