Chael Sonnen is a fighter Conor McGregor has been compared to quite a bit during his UFC career. It's mainly due to their mutual use of trash-talking, or truth telling as the Irishman would call it.

When it comes to McGregor's upcoming fight against featherweight title holder Jose Aldo at UFC 189, Sonnen does not like the challenger's prospects of victory.

Speaking on the 'Jon Anik and Kenny Florian Podcast' Sonnen said:

I've never totally been on the McGregor bandwagon. I love the entertainment value. I don't necessarily buy into the skill set.

Sonnen told of Kenny Florian being highly enthusiastic about McGregor following his UFC debut  victory against Marcus Brimage. While he respects the opinion of Florian, especially because he fought Jose Aldo, Sonnen says that he just can't see the Dubliner beating the Brazlian champion or Frankie Edgar and Chad Mendes for that matter.

When I look at that murderer's row in that weightclass [featherweight], I look at Frankie Edgar, Chad Mendes and Jose Aldo - I just don't think that Conor McGregor can crack into that.

Finally, he reiterated how easy he thinks the July 11th bout is going to be for Jose Aldo.

I just want to go on the record and say that I don't think it's a close fight. I just think that Aldo runs through him and that's not a knock to Conor, I just have that much respect for Aldo.
