On average the normal regular Irish person thinks about Father Ted about 4 times a day (according to a 2011 HYT survey*) and these instances happen because of numerous triggers from seeing a bishop being kicked up the arse or dealing with a sexy milkman. There are however plenty occurrences where you think to yourself, did that happen in real life or did it spill out of the collective brains of Graham Linehan and Arthur Matthews, the creators of Craggy Island.

Today is such a day as we read in our papers of an Irishman by the name of Elton John Moran who got the bullet from his factory job after being caught ateing jam tarts.  The Irish Times takes it up, declaring that Elton John was a man who didn't play by the rules.. what a man, what a tart.. We are unsure if the tart pictured below was the tart he took on, but if it was, jesus sure who could blame him..
