It's a particularly enjoyable time to be following Irish rugby players on Instagram.

A tour to South Africa gives our boys the chance to achieve something that has never been done before, claim a win over the Springboks in their own back yard, but it also will expose them to stunning scenery and wildlife while they are over there.

Craig Gilory has posted a clip to Instagram of the Irish squad enjoying some 'down time' by getting out on the open water, and sure enough a great white shark came along to say hi.

The reaction from the lads was fantastic.

Enjoying some down time! ...Unreal experience getting in the water with a Great White shark!

That is seriously cool.

Robbie Henshaw has also been showing off the beauty of South Africa as he gave us a look at the surroundings for the training sessions that took place last week.

I've trained in worse places @irishrugby #teamofus

We spoke to Jamie Heaslip recently and he claimed that South Africa is by far the best place he had toured, and it's clear to see why.
