Glasgow defeated Ulster 16-14 tonight in Scotstoun to reach the Pro12 final for the second year running. It was the final home game for their talented Fijian winger Niko Matawalu who is moving to Bath next season.

Ulster led for most of the game but a converted try seven minutes from the end by DTH van der Merwe proved decisive.

Matawalu provoked the ire of Stephen Ferris and Andy Ward in the commentary box after winning a penalty shortly for half-time for this piece of dubiously cynical play. Ferris, in particular, tore strips off him afterwards.
