The Higlanders got past the Chiefs in the first game of the Super Rugby playoffs this morning. A big reason for that is the talented combination of All Black scrumhalf Aaron Smith, and future All Black behemoth Waisake Naholo.

The pair combined devastatingly for two tries for Naholo, but it was the skill and talent of Smith that created both, and showcased again why he's the best scrumhalf in the world, just ahead of Conor Murray. Smith has improved again this season, no doubt helped by the influence of Tony Brown.
