On 27 June, Terry Brady from Killinkere in Co Cavan will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon time while dressed as a bottle.

Terry - who ran (minus the bottle) a sub three hour marathon in Berlin last year - is hoping to raise money for his godson Theo, who is profoundly deaf. His target is 3hrs 31mins, set by his nemesis, the Buxton bottle, last year.

Obviously breaking the record would be a phenomenal achievement but more importantly, he aims to raise as much funding as possible to help with a €100,000 surgery which could give Theo some hearing at the very least, and possibly even speech.

Best of luck to Terry, who will be running the Waterford Viking Marathon at the end of next month. For more information about  TheosHope4 Sound, you can visit here, or on their Facebook page here.
