The Highlanders secured their first ever Super Rugby crown this morning in a thrilling running game against the league toppers the Hurricanes in Wellington this morning.

The match was played at a fierce pace, and there was only seven points between the two Kiwi sides, with the final score at 18-11.

It's fair to say then, that this impressive but highly controversial try was the decider in the match. Highlanders flanker Elliott Dixon somehow managed to carry four players over the line with him before putting the ball down.

Or did he?

TMO replays appeared to suggest that the ball was put down on the defender's leg, and it wasn't clear whether Dixon had control of the ball when it touched the grass.
