Here's Darragh O'Neil making a punt look just about as good as it can be for Colorado during an All Star Game yesterday.

O'Neill was originally born in Cork and is the son of Colm O'Neill who won an All- Ireland with the Cork footballers in 1990. O'Neill's family moved to Colorado when he was three, and have lived there since. He is also Maurice Fitzgerald's nephew as if to affirm his close ties to Ireland. O’Neill was a standout High School athlete, receiving scholarship offers for Basketball, and receiving State Honours as a soccer player. His brother. Shane has outshone him in the soccer stakes. Shane has represented the U.S. national team at underage level and for the past two seasons has been a regular starter for the Colorado Rapids in the MLS.

Many guys looking to make the NFL, particularly special team guys, look to play in the post-season college All-Star Games. O’Neill took part in the East-West Shrine Game in St.Petersburg, Florida last night. Representing the West team, that ultimately lost heavily. By all accounts, he had a very good game, and impressed at the week of practice judging by scouting reports. His ball placement, hang time and of course yardage all generating positive feedback from attendees.

He'll be remembered though for that one handed catch, for preventing the safety and hitting a decent punt. Odell Beckham Jr - eat your heart out.
