A surreal moment took place in game three of the World Series on Friday night.

With the Cubs down 1-0 (the series tied at 1-1), Bill Murray was announced as the guest for the 7th inning stretch. For those that haven't been to a game on a J1, the 7th inning stretch is a tradition where at the top of the 7th inning, everybody stands up and sings 'Take me out To the ball game'..

Bill Murray, a lifelong Cubs fan but seemingly allowed to do whatever he wants in any given situation, opted to perform the song as Daffy Duck, and called upon the crowd to do the same.

You could be forgiven for thinking that at such a crucial point in a World Series game, perhaps it wasn't the best option to take the piss, but then again, it's Bill Murray. He can pull it off.

Of course, Murray worked with Daffy Duck on the set of Space Jam, where both played members of the Tune Squad basketball team. This homage to his former teammate was unexpected, but ultimately good to see.
