I know what you're thinking - 'Oh Matt Hardy, I remember Matt! Him and Jeff jumping off ladders and whatnot.' Well if you think you know Matt Hardy, think again.

Hardy reinvented himself a couple of years ago, while in TNA, as 'Broken' Matt Hardy, a crazed man who was possessed by all the knowledge in the world, which caused him to behave like an erratic 19th century aristocrat for some reason. His gimmick became hugely popular and followers of Buff Egan will know Hardy's catchphrases extremely well.

His TNA feud with Jeff, who he renamed 'Brother Nero', gained notoriety when it came to a head in 'The Final Deletion,' a frankly insane match set in Hardy's home. Anyhow, fast forward to 2018, the Hardy Boyz are in the WWE and, after a legal battle with TNA over the rights to the gimmick, Matt is now 'Woken' Matt Hardy.

He has been warring with Bray Wyatt in recent months and it has built to a match on last night's episode of Raw, called 'The Ultimate Deletion.' You can see where this is going. Hardy and Wyatt went to battle in The Hardy Compound, in a match that was filmed in short segments, each more ridiculous than the last.

First of all, Hardy introduced his wife and children before sending his groundsmen, Senor Benjamin, to prepare the battlefield.

Then it was the turn of Bray Wyatt to enter.

In case you're wondering, Hardy's drone is called Vanguard 1 and plays a large role in these matches. For eaxmple, when it iniates 'The Broomstick Protocol.'

A couple of clips later, Wyatt roams The Hardy Compound in search of The Woken One, and things are starting to get even more surreal than we could have imagined.

Now inside The Dome of Deletion, we are gifted the best clip of the entire thing. Firstly, I think it's worth mentioning the wrestling ring seems to just follow them around the complex but what makes this video great is not what happens in the ring, rather what happens beside it.

For some reason there is a wheelchair and a ride-on lawnmower inside the dome and the scene cuts to Hardy shouting 'Wheel of Chairs! Mower of Lawns!' before jumping onto the mower. He then starts riding it towards a felled Bray Wyatt, while Beethoven's Ode to Joy plays.

And then we have the final scene, when Bray meets his fate. Does it happen in a ring? No, of course not! It takes place at The Lake of Reincarnation.

At this point I think we're all in agreement that it's time to sit down and contemplate what we've just watched.
