The Chicago Cubs history of curses and general weird occurrences continued yesterday when a goat's head was delivered to Wrigley Field. The package, which was intended for Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts, contained no note explaining the reasoning behind the bizarre gesture but is likely to be some reference to the so-called "curse of the billy goat". It is said a local tavern owner, William Sianis, put a curse on the Cubs when he was refused entry to a game with his pet goat in tow. The Cubs have not won a World Series since.
