"He's Having Fun And Talking Shit!" Joe Rogan Thinks UFC Will Strip Conor McGregor Of Lightweight Title

Comedian and MMA Commentator Joe Rogan has weighed in on what Conor McGregor's next move will be on his podcast "The Joe Rogan Experience".

During his sit down chat with malcontent UFC Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, Rogan took it upon himself to predict the, at least, immediate future of the Dubliner.

Here’s my prediction: My prediction (is) Conor doesn’t fight for a while. They strip Conor, Tony and Khabib fight for the world title.

As timing would have it, UFC have announced today that they will hold the first ever UFC event in Russia, presumably to be headlined by such a fight. While Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC Lightweight title is a worthy headliner for any fight card, it will leave a sour taste in the mouth of McGregor's detractors, who will no doubt point at his failure yet again to defend a belt.

Rogan added:

I think they’re going to strip him, because Conor’s got $100 million in the bank, and he’s having fun and talking shit

It's hard to argue with the podcast host either. McGregor seems to have no interest in returning to defend the title that he won back on November 12th 2016 against Eddie Alvarez. The former double champion sent out a couple of cryptic tweets on New Year's day musing about "diddies" and people taking them out to beg him. Reading between the lines it seemed to be McGregor's way of taunting the UFC about him coming back to finally defend a title.

Rogan of course isn't the only one that shares the opinion that McGregor now has more money than he'll ever need and is enjoying "talking shit" and having as much fun as he can with it and is in no rush to return to fight for the MMA juggernaut. Who could blame him? Just this week we've seen Conor shut down Funderland for his family and friends to enjoy it for a night and he even had a square off with Richard Branson at the convention centre in Dublin during the Pendulum Summit.

After the exchange McGregor took to twitter to exclaim about Branson "he is not a knighted Sir on this soil!"
