Towards the end of Stone Cold Steve Austin's wrestling career, the Texas Rattlesnake could be seen regularly sporting a knee brace to help avoid re-injury, but it seems that he should have been looking after his elbow as well.

The ultra-popular, beer-chugging WWE legend is now the host of his own very successful podcast where he talks wrestling as well as a whole host of other subjects on a regular basis, but recently he explained to his audience the details of a very nasty elbow injury he picked up along the way after it flared up in the gym recently.

He also tweeted out a pic, and it's absolutely disgusting!

Yes, that is an actual human elbow...

It's absolutely horrible, and it's called olecranon bursitis.

Spekaing on his podcast, Stone Cold explained how a recent weights session caused it to flare up. Turns out it's common among wrestlers.

I bent down to pick up a weight and I used my left arm, and my fuckin' left arm didn't wanna bend. And I'm like 'man, what the fuck's wrong with my arm?' So I grabbed my left arm with my right hand, and it's like someone had buried a golf ball in my elbow.

You know, back in the day, when I was in the game of pro wrestling, when I was first starting out - or hell, it could be any time - try and make a flat-back landing and sometimes your elbows just bang into that mat and you bust that bursa sac. Virtually all the boys who ever come up in the business have that tennis ball elbow as you go through the paces, because it kinda comes with the territory.

Ouch.

Rikishi once ran him over in a car and it was no bother to him, so an elbow injury isn't going to hold Stone Cold down. Now, while we're here talking about Steve Austin, let's enjoy a compilation of his best stunners:
