Tom Brady, longtime owner of one of those notorious 'Make America Great Again' caps, faced more questions about his alleged support for the President elect.
Donald Trump proudly revealed at a rally in New Hampshire on Monday that he had the support of both Brady and Bill Belichick, two people who were enormously popular in the area.
Both Belichick and Brady is now in the uncomfortable position of having to field questions on the topic. Donald Trump is the new deflategate.
When the question was put to Brady today, he simply responded that his vote was private (classic shy Tory gambit). After this, the reporter asked the obvious follow-up question - why did you give Donald Trump permission to reveal you'd voted for him?
His answer was rather slippery.

Brady then found a neat out when he disclosed that his wife Gisele Bundchen had banned him from talking about politics.

The suspicion remains that Bundchen was much less enthused about the Trump campaign than her husband.
on instagram a few days ago, Gisele Bundchen replied to a random follower who asked whether she and Tom were backing Trump.
She said "No." In fact, she said "NO!"
What of Belichick?
Belichick is a rarity among American football coaches in that he is a Democrat. Or at least that is what he is reported to have mumbled in the past.
How then do we explain this letter where he wished Trump well in his quest to make American great again. Belichick denied there was any political intent behind the letter but that it was merely a gesture of "friendship and loyalty to Donald."
He instanced his friendship with John Kerry in the answer and said he writes hundreds of letters every month. "It doesn't mean I agree with every single thing that a person thinks about politics, religion or other subjects", he said.
