What an Olympics its been for the USA basketball team. The NBA dream team are expected to walk to the final with winning margins of 40 and 50 points, but there preparations have been less than ideal.
First, they rejected staying at the Olympic Village. Instead, they hired out the luxurious 514-foot cruise liner. Then, Draymond Green hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons for posting a snap of his penis on his snapchat. Woops.
Now though, it has emerged that DeMarcus Cousins, DeMar DeRozan and DeAndre Jordan went to a Rio brothel. Oh the controversy.
What's weirder, and most amusing to us, is there excuse. It was an 'accident'. They thought they were going to a regular spa, to have a drink. According to TMZ:
They realized it wasn’t the right place for them and immediately left.
Of course they did.
Because, the USA basketball team are on the cruise liner in the first place to avoid instances like this. The intention was so that they wouldn't have to leave the ship except to play. But the players wanted to go to a spa, fair enough right?
Except that there's a spa on the ship. And it's far more likely that it's a better spa on the ship than the "Termas Monte Carlo" - which a google search reveals is quite an infamous place in Rio for such things.
"Accidental" indeed.
