After WWE cut all ties with Hulk Hogan at the end of last week, over his reported use of the n-word, a video quickly started doing the rounds online of their CEO Vince McMahon saying the same word on air, during a WWE event in 2005.

This has obviously caused people to ask how can the company operate under such double-standards. Well, the WWE have issued a response which highlights how one incident occurs in a fictional sketch, while the other is an instance in real life.

A representative told TMZ that the segment was:

An outlandish and satirical skit involving fictional characters, similar to that of many scripted television shows and movies.

Meanwhile, CM Punk has commented on the Hogan saga, subtly reminding everyone of another n-word occurrence on WWE television. One which involved Hulk Hogan, funnily enough.
