CM Punk's name may be tainted among the big wigs in the WWE these days but that didn't stop The Rock calling him from the middle of the ring after Monday night's Raw went off the air.
The Rock was in town because he's producing a movie about the wrestler Paige called Fighting My Father and the film crew used the ring to recreate a WWE match between Paige and AJ Lee, CM Punk's wife.
While two actresses played out the match, the live crowd erupted into Punk chants, prompting Rock to call up the the longest reigning WWE champion of the modern era. Unfortunately he didn't answer but The Rock left a voicemail.

Amazingly Punk is one of the few people left on this planet who bother their arse to listen to voicemails and he responded on Twitter:

I wouldn't hold my breath on this being a signal that Punk will returing to a WWE ring any time soon but I'd bet you anything it will prompt a return of the Punk chants on live shows over the next few weeks.
